Η Καρνιτίνη μεταφέρει τα λιπαρά οξέα στο μέρος που θα καούν, στο ενεργειακό κέντρο των κυττάρων, τα μιτοχόνδρια δηλαδή, οπού εκεί θα γίνει η μετατροπή τους σε καθαρή ενέργεια.
Η καρνιτίνη παίζει σημαντικό ρόλο στην εξοικονόμηση ενέργειας για όλο τον οργανισμό και στη μείωση του σωματικού βάρους, την καλή λειτουργία της καρδιάς και του εγκεφάλου, ενώ βελτιώνει σημαντικά την σωματική αλλά και ψυχική ζωή του ανθρώπου.
